SOUL SNACK 63 ... A Superior Repair

“I will refresh the weary and satisfy the weak." Jer 31:2

I have a wonderful friend. He always speaks the truth ‘in love'. His consistent time honored counsel to me is; “Geoff-you Luddite"! So graciously he advises me of my technological ineptitude and disinterest.

However, I am not a complete 21st century escapee. I have a PC! On this PC I know about the ‘refresh' button. It's a small icon with only 2 clockwise arrows. This icon is brilliant! It can immediately correct errors. It can do what I can't. It can start anew. It makes the screen well again.

God is no Luddite! He invented ‘refreshment' well before Bill Gates. He sees the empty reserve tank. He feels my low affirmation reservoir. Deeply He registers my life's dissatisfactions. He observes all my errors and completely knows my disrepair.

Engaging the weak and weary for their benefit is His good intention. God's heart is to not withhold but be generous to me. His delight is to refresh me. He will use His ‘refresh' button.
