Chasing Judas or 5 Reasons to Stand Firm?

Christians are having their breath choked from them.

'Fundamental faith' has been tarred with and by extremism. Sincere Christian faith is now unchangeably darkened by two scandalous black brushes (homophobia and Islam).

Jesus' cry rings across earth to all who call upon His name in love:

will you stand strong, hear My call to even lose today that you may win forever?

Who will dwell in the Master's shadow and choose crucifixion of self over denial of Jesus?

OR...

Who will choose to flee as all the Apostles chose when Jesus' faced-off His point of pain?

Who at their point of uncomfortably standing firm will chase Judas and sell Jesus out?

“No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.” (Luke 9:62)

Five sure rewards Jesus offers to each over-comer. They are intangible now and only ever received by faith. You can bank on them but you can never buy them.

Become an over-comer and do not shrink back. Jesus has not left us without enticement or in ignorance to the future. Pain is always finite upon earth, but Paradise is permament. Steel the soul for victory - the rewards defy human imagination.

  • To the one who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the Tree of Life, which is in the paradise of God. ~ Revelation 2:7
  • The one who overcomes will not be hurt at all by the second death. ~ Revelation 2:11b
  • To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. ~ Revelation 2:17
  • I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it. ~ Revelation 2:17
  • To the one who is victorious and does My will to the end, I will give authority over the nations— I will give the right to sit with Me on My throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with My Father on His throne. ~ Revelation 2:26 & 3:21

Judas gained cheap trinkets and promptly died, but Jesus gives treasures beyond value - sealed with eternal life.

Stand firm for your labor in the Lord is not in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:58)

Each Christian lives between their cross and their throne.
