Colonizing the Mind

My thoughts can define me as much as my successes honor me.

Is life not won or lost in the battles of the mind? Wherever the mind regularly wanders the mouth and feet are sure to follow.

The thoughts of my mind either build me up, or tear me down. They are as constructive as they are destructive. Thinking brings freedom in praise but bondage in sorrow.

What my mind entertains is my day's steering wheel. It is what my mind turns to, that too turns my day.

When the mind loops through repeated goodness, so too I receive well. When the mind cycles through repeated despair, distress I have then multiplied.

My days are colored by my mind. Pick up that brightly colored crayon each morning. And, should that become too difficult, please, approach the sanctuary that God has consecrated forever, for you are very welcome there. (See 2 Chronicles 30:8b)

Let your thoughts be as a fountain rising, and not as a flood descending.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. (Philippians 4:8)
