Easter's Might

Soul Snack 75/14 ...

A frosty Friday dawned upon God's Son; it would prove again that betrayal will suppress justice.

Neither man nor God would yield on this Passover Friday. Neither would withhold their intentions from the world.

Violent red-stained streets had screamed for innocent blood.

A spineless and self-serving Pilate acted without honor.

A throng totally absent of wisdom, devoid of any moral fibre defiantly ignored justice throughout this death of God.

No restraint, no self audit or no self-correction had appeared from any soul at this darkest hour.

Equally without self constraint, the only Son of Heaven prayed forgiveness for all.

"Father forgive them for they do not know what they do." (Luke 23:34)

The night of Easter reveals the need of forgiveness,

The sight of Easter reveals the burdens of sin,

The light of Easter reveals the blindness of the soul and

The might of Easter reveals the power of resurrection.

It is only because Jesus died once that you can live twice.

Today's Easter Soul Snippet:

Jesus' tomb is empty so you don't have to be.
