Impatient?

Remember those days of old when they were not marked by loss, captured in dismay or shrivelled from despair?

Remember those days of old when the summers felt long and the winters fled?

Remember those days of old when the longings were light and the thirsts were met?

Remember those days of old when they were better, although it is unwise to think this way?

As with all life's endeavors the spiritual world is no different to the physical world. A man must stay with the pain to receive his gain. He should continue his God given course.

The Lord delivers to death and makes alive; He brings down to the grave and raises up,

The Lord sends poverty and wealth; He humbles and He exalts,

The Lord raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; He seats them with princes and causes them to inherit a throne. (See too 2 Samuel 2:1-7)

What is it a man can do?

He can no more hasten tomorrow than resurrect the dead, nor by strength can he prevail. So, through faith he waits.

If God created heaven and earth in six days, He can change your life in one day. ~ anon

It is in the course of history that God acts, for every event awaits its appointed time.

Once the will of God to me was a sigh; now it is a song. ~ Frances Ridley Havergal
