Of Slavery & Greatness

It is time to corrall my thinking, to fence my mind with divine palings and posts cut from heaven. This is a barricade to protect me from the enemy of world-formed thoughts, and equally be a haven for God's informed thoughts.

Jesus ~ ... and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. (Mark 11:44)

Who would ever have imagined that greatness is evidenced by slavery?

The world measures measures greatness by promotion, Jesus measures by demotion.

Jesus lived this truth while He taught it. It remains to this day - do as I do and not just do as I say.

Surely slavery is being led to where you do not want to go, to do that which you do not want to do? (see John 21:18)

Jesus' call to slavery is no vendor to a soft-serve faith, or a couch for spiritual sleep.
