Since Eden God Has Not Rested

On the seventh day God rested.

Well - did He really, for how long?

This restless Father can no more leave His child in sin than deny Himself.

The conviction of sin is an eternal mercy from Heaven.

The consciousness of guilt is sign of a Divine restlessness to stir the soul. My Father will not rest until He has infilled me with His righteousness.

1 Divine Father + 1 attentive child = a glorious eternity.

The restless Father and a receiving, attentive child is the equation for a successful eternity.

The Spirit of guilt prepares me well for the scenes of glory.

His convictions to me, speak yet again of His love for me. He wants me out of harm's way. He will spare no effort that my self harm (sin) is removed from my life.

Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. (Psalm 51:10)

As a father who is unable to retire for the evening because his princess is on her first date, so is my Father in heaven. He looks down with great care and longing to gift me with His forever favors.

No human Father can rest until his daughter is safely home safe - so too my restless heavenly Father until I am safe at home with Him.

Repentance is the tear in the eye of faith. ~ D. L. Moody
