Soul Snack 9/210 ... Eternal fame!
The astonishing greatness of a soul fully given over to Jesus honors heaven and favors earth.
Such a soul's rampant, unrestrained discipleship takes no prisoners from this world, it always travels light and constantly reaches upward.
The glow of the divine radiates from their face, the praise of heaven falls unsolicited from their lips and their deeds of light confront the deeds of darkness.
'Giving' not 'gaining' is their life's lived out purpose. Purple and finery are absent from their lives. Ritual will be conducted without their presence. They will not just hear the homily, they will 'have it'.
The approval of man will fail to stir their senses and life's luxuries they will be ignorant to.
Their astonishing greatness will be lived with a vagrant, left at a widow's door or revealed through their floor torn knees.
No-one will see them. Man's honor will elude them and they will finally fall in an unobserved silence.
Such a disciple will always be anonymous on earth but eternally famous in heaven.
"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.' Mt 25;40
