Tempting Thoughts
Temptation clothed in deceit has been satan's time honored ploy since the first apple of Eden. It always promises betterment but never delivers. Yet, temptation is continually successful.
- Temptation is not a call to sin but a call to battle. ~ Frederick Wood
- Temptation is the invitation to exchange a poor today but a good tomorrow for a better today and a poorer tomorrow.
- Temptation always explains the delights, but never its costs. In yielding the second state is always worse than the first.
- Temptation is never an offer from any good-will for it charges far more than it promises.
- Temptation is satan's pleasant counsel to sever faithfulness.
- Satan is like a fisherman, he baits his hook according to the appetite of the fish. ~ Thomas Adams
Submit yourself to God. Resist satan and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)
