The 3 Great Benefits of Devotion

Devotion brings immeasurable delight. It is the plumb-line of well being. But living always conspires against it, and shouts a belligerent NOT NOW!

Three wonderful benefits I have learned from sitting with He who is surrounded in faithfulness, whose abundant love stands firm forever:

In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice;
    in the morning I lay my requests before you
    and wait expectantly. (Psalm 5:3)

1) I learned the benefit of confidence in the Lord floods the devoted.

Blessed are those who dwell in your house;
    they are ever praising you, and

Better is one day in your courts
    than a thousand elsewhere;
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
    than dwell in the tents of the wicked. (Psalm 84:4,10)

2) I learned when the benefit of praise rests upon the lips moaning has fallen away.

Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you,
    who walk in the light of your presence, Lord.
They rejoice in your name all day long;
    they celebrate your righteousness.
For you are their glory and strength,
    and by your favor you exalt our horn. (Psalm 89:15-17)

3) I learned the benefits of guidance and strength mingles within the soul that is given to praise.

Devotion in the heart will always rise for the mind to hear and the body to enjoy.

It is an awesome thing that He who should be feared still chooses to function from love and not power.
