The Conflict Between the Educated Church & Jesus

I fear the doctrine of the church, I disdain the missal and I abhor the ill-judged compromises of ecumenism; for where is the yearning of the soul if it is not first to sit at the feet of the Almighty, prior to the busy ritual communion of saints?

Doctrine dilutes faith, ritual destroys relationship while compromise denies truths. All pour needless distractions over the believer to miss the Throne of Grace

The activism of church/for church adds precious little liniment to the soul. It is a mere ornament to a mis-read theology, or an accoutrement to the conscience when compared to dwelling at the feet of the Master. It is at His feet alone true communion first arises, for around His throne are gathered the still brethren and so the church is formed - refreshed, unmoved.

It is my angst that the hallowed halls of learning have taken us away to a spirit-stirring or mind-dulling search for theology. These halls to varying degrees empty The Living Word and it's thirst quenching power. They reduce it to a fascination piece for debate, or merely a quality curiosity of yesterday. And in doing so we then neglect to pour oil on Jesus' feet and weep tears across His scars, for His call is no longer needed or heeded. Consequently we pass by the only living affirmation worth dying for:

"but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken from her." (Luke 10:42)

We have scarcely created still disciples, instead energetically multiplied busy theologians.
