The Mankind Project
Mankind is a multi-talented tribute to the glorious abilities of God, the only creator. He created all men in His image; this men cannot reciprocate no matter how marvellous their individual or collective genius, or how deep their gene pool.
The lives of all mankind are a mere whistle into the wind, a light imperceptible scratching upon eternity. Three score years and ten are but a wafting vapor for his eternal choice.
Men either consider eternity or neglect it. There are only two positions.
His paths and his ways are all well open to the Lord, even though his heart may be slammed shut to fearing and hearing his Father in heaven, tenderly named 'Abba' in Scripture. Such a man has fled reason, his wisdom knows not why his chest beats.
Where a heart wanders to, his eyes and feet shall surely follow.
Sin knocks persistently on mankind's doors. In his unredeemed heart he slides fully open its door; no lock of wisdom here to keep the thieves out.
The ways of wickedness he has become comfortable with, and foolishly the ways of God's redeeming wrath he remains blind to. Mankind knows no righteous fear of God. Eagerly, even in haste his heart's door gently swings wide to the passing and agreeable siroccos of sin.
Ever so blindly mankind leaves the door to salvation bolted and padlocked tight. He knows no wisdom. He lets in the thief and not The Giver.
He who will not recognise the creative God is a fool - he sees not God's goodness nor can he number his days aright.
Yet he who shivers and shudders at his own sin chooses to seek the Lord; he shall sin no more and live well forever.
For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. (Romans 8:6)
