The SOUL 101
Soul Snack 47/14 ... Both the world and satan trade in souls. Souls are the currency of the hereafter, the coins of eternity.
Satan collects souls as the world accumulates cash. The more the better, and his satisfaction is without end.
The merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over Babylon because no one buys their cargoes any more ... of wine and olive oil, of fine flour and wheat; cattle and sheep; horses and carriages; and bodies and souls of men. (Revelation 18:11-13)
God created man in His image. God is three in one (the Trinity), so too then is man.
May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thessalonians 5:23b)
The body is made of dust, the breath/spirit is given by God, and the soul is the joining of breath with dust. (See also Genesis 2:7)
The body perishes, the spirit/breath is withdrawn at death to return to God (who gave it and owns it), but the soul remains for eternity and belongs to the individual.

Within each soul is the power of self-determination. Within the human soul choice resides.
There is war for your soul. The battleground is your body, the flesh - because death is the destiny of man.
Your soul is first protected by the good and upright choices you make.
You own your soul, satan wants to steal it but Jesus wants to claim it. Who will you give it to?
Fashion your soul wisely, exercise self-restraint and submerge it in God's Word, for the soul alone is your transport to an eternal future.
We shape our bodies in expensive and extensive effort, but who will sculpt the soul? Only one has eternal value AND no-one knows when his time will come. (See Ecclesiastes 9:12)
