By The Stream of Solitude

Flowing into each life arrives the season to sit in new streams. To seek solitude is one such stream.

Solitude is not for the faint-hearted. At times the most difficult thing we can do is to sit with ourselves. Yet it is in the doing of things that disturb our comfort that we are re-formed. Diamonds are fashioned from coal.

Solitude is the roof over devotion. It is not a task to do but a stopping to delight in.

Solitude is a catalyst to slow.

In solitude I find everything I want by placing behind me everything I have.

Solitude is as much reclining in the waters of heaven as it is knowing I am separate from the earth.

Solitude is the haven where my Lord can breathe His warm life-giving Spirit into my soul; His grace for yet another day.

Solitude is the divine shining water that soothes a striving soul; the seat of calming words to any troubled spirit.

He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul. (Psalm 23:2-3a)

Dive into the stream of solitude for there are no unseen obstacles to injure and only refreshment to be drunk.
