Miraculously no tirade arrived, no verbal thunderbolt shook his ears again. His heart was kept safe.

An elderly re-assuring arm rested lightly on heaving young shoulders. It swiftly and silently spoke 'love'.

Fear-filled eyes gazed upwards only to be melted by soft and loving ones.

Love covers all ... There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. (Proverbs 10:12 / 1 John 4:18a)

A young heart washed in love today will be able to wash another's heart tomorrow.
