How to Unplug Life
Plugs manage every moment of every day. Black, white, regular and irregular shaped plastic appendages are poked into walls, sockets and all power sources. They power life as much as they control it. Unplugged power is impotence, the presence of distress.
The Lord who will always reverse life, who inverts its self-perpetuating mechanisms would unplug each of us.
A prayer for those longing to be disconnected:
O Lord may the only:
- light within me be the Light of The World,
- food within me be the Bread of Life,
- water within me be the River of Life
- glory I seek be the Crown of Life and
- knowledge I seek be the fruit from the Tree of Life.
Father upon you I depend for strength, that this prayer I stay true to until I am found at the feet of Jesus. Unplug me from the things of this life, that I may remain forever firmly plugged into the things of you. AMEN
Jesus is the rewarder of those who seek His presence.
“Truly I tell you,” Jesus said to them, “no one who has left home or wife or brothers or sisters or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God will fail to receive many times as much in this age, and in the age to comeeternal life.” (Luke 18:29-30)
