UNSWERVING ENDURANCE

Pressure is ever mounting against Christians. There is little friendship from the world for Christ, and towards those who call on His name - LORD. Intolerance is as present as faith is absent.

If you hold to Jesus, satan is at war with you. (See Revelation 12:17) There are loaded double-barrel shotguns facing Christians now.

The call for a life-dominating and resolute perseverance increases at an alarming rate.

The Lord through His steadfast word still speaks and always encourages:

  1. Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near... As you know, we count as blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy. (James 5:7-11)
  2. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful. (Hebrews 10:23)
  3. Do not throw away your confidence, it will be richly rewarded. (Hebrews 10:35)
  4. For here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come. (Hebrews 13:13)

For those who claim Jesus as savior, honor Him in their heart, mind and soul, defend Him in public, seek Him in private, open their purse and house to Him, and willingly serve Him - there is NO easy way home.

The call for Godly endurance increases daily as the temptation to an acquiescing Christian lethargy grows, and the voices of the world claim our freedoms, shaking our souls.

A new heaven and earth awaits where God dwells again with man, righteousness rules and all tears are swept away. No angry fists will be raised, no malicious accusations (or far worse) will split the air again.

Whatever has happened to you, is happening to you or will happen to you, stand strong PLEASE - because the best is yet to come.

Home is worth every teardrop and every pound of pain. The destination is completely worth the difficulty of the journey. Keep your eyes on prize and not on the path.
