When Any Church Opinion Will Do!!!

Dusted by an ancient breeze, an eager band of twelve new disciples gathered around Jesus.

A deliberate Jesus instructed this raw troupe how to begin and conduct missions.

Part of Jesus' mission teaching to these innocent disciples was to look for welcome, a willing receptivity. (This is an evangelism principle largely unheeded this day.)

'Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that town. If people do not welcome you, leave their town and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.’ (Luke 9:4-5)

When welcome was not offered, do not persist, was Jesus counsel.

Jesus is disinterested in spending time with those who reject Him. (Me too.)

Jesus sought a shake of the hand and not a shake of the head.

Jesus has not changed.

Jesus has already left countless churches and all denominations in varying degrees. These now shake their head. They do not welcome Him anymore. (See too Hosea 4:6)

Jesus' absence from His once Christian churches becomes palpable. How many have been converted to homes?

Although it’s still relatively rare in the U.S., the adaptive reuse of churches has become a popular practice in other countries, like the U.K. In 2006, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors found that since 2001, about 500 churches in London alone had been converted into homes.

Nature abhors a vacuum, even a religious one.

Any ecclesiastical compromise in areas of righteousness (such as - truth, sexuality, morality, gender identity, marriage, assisted death, and liberal theology etc) is a shaking of the head to Jesus and a shaking of the fist to Heaven. His supposed representatives upon earth are inclusively whitewashing all that Jesus died for, to free men from sin and its punishment. Instead those who would promote sin, further entangling their flock in it, are indeed unable to divide good from evil. Yet, they flagrantly claim the identity of 'Christian'.

The very trajectory designed to make their churches more inclusive is, in fact, making them redundant. Why become Christian and join a church if Christianity simply mirrors the worldview I already hold? According to the 2016 Census, the Uniting Church is one of the fastest declining denominations in Australia, losing around 22% members since 2011 (almost 200,000 people). There is little doubt that the direction will continue.

These people largely do not welcome Jesus anymore, yet they wonder why their God-boxes are so empty!! Such churches must become really no more than mausoleums to the dead.

The time has arrived; false religion is now conducted as true religion. Rainbow flags of false religion (Babylon) are reaching high to the heavens. They are whipped by the heavy winds of pride, compromise and deceit. Each flag is further fanned by weakened ecclesiastical backbones, and an abandoned moral compass. Jesus is nowhere to be seen, there is no truth here. He has dusted His feet.

Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshippers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshippers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshippers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.’ (John 4:23-24)

Despite popular belief - any religion in the name of Christ, is not good religion in the name of Christ.

God's church is still to learn that it is impossible to sow abundance among thorns. ~ Michael Cartwright#
