When Belief Wears a Headstone.

Surely some of the fiercest attacks upon any soul are distrust and false allegation about their word?

So too the Bible!

The assaults upon Scripture remain ferocious. It is twisted, torn and trashed in the name of man's reason and the support of his sin.

When Scripture confronts a man he will shout it down.

Christian and pagan alike are led to believe the inefficiency, the inaccuracy and the inabilities of God's Word.

All are persuaded to ignore Scripture - to foolishly fast from the bread of life, not taste its sweet manna, and bypass the wisdom of heaven.

The Bible's truths are suppressed and so dead to mankind. Here's how:

  1. disobey it - I know better
  2. disuse it - be content with the Bible as a dust magnet
  3. dilute it - the Bible is not as it claims and promises. Science has emptied its truths
  4. distrust it - as satan questioned Eve in Eden, did God really say...
  5. dissect it - only parts of the Bible are helpful. I decide the parts that suit me. And finally,
  6. dismiss (deny) it - this is the end result when the first five are practised. Belief then wears a headstone.

Neglect God's Word to your detriment, but daily read and obey it to your eternal delight.

The Bible is a compass in life's whiteouts, a map to life's pathways.

The Scriptures will make you wise unto living.

The Bible is a salve to pain and a harbor in storms.

Set it as your refuge and no enemy will ever breach your battlements.

The Holy Scriptures, are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness so that the man of God maybe thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:15b-17)
