When Relationships Burn

Don't try to fix me, I am not broken. ~ anon.

Accusation and argument awakens the proud heart, but steals another's joy. These are thieves to love, crushers of spirits and damp blankets to smother harmony

Persistent argument establishes its own rule of division. Love cannot increase.

The flood of argument is the desire to dominate. This is not the honoring of the Lord, He honors peacemakers - these He calls the sons of God. (See Matthew 5:9)

Argument is a yeast to opposition, it roars from the pedestal of pride. Both argument and accusation are unrelenting fruits from the Tree of Knowledge.

The high value of argument falls from the Tree of Knowledge.

The value of peace is ripe upon the Tree of Life.

The Tree of Knowledge teaches men to quarrel, while the Tree of Life teaches gentleness.

Constant friction is not an expression of grace, mercy or love, but rather an act of the sinful nature.

Arguments belong to proud people who have to be heard.

Is not persistent argument and disagreement the strategy to conquer by dividing? It is a playing into the hands of satan, he who comes to kill, steal and destroy. But, Jesus would have none of this.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it to the full. (John 10:10)
