When the World Plunges
Ponder now a western world devoid of moral understanding, that filled with pride now calls evil good.
Planet earth plunges willingly towards sin and death (even Christians), for they cannot measure good, and can only pursue evil.
There is no tugging upon God's guiding line of 'righteousness'.
Those Christians who would support same-sex marriage have shrunk back to echo the wanton humanity of western mankind. They honor that which the Lord describes as abominable.
The call to love each other is the call of righteousness, it is to love selflessly and not just quietly.
Tolerance is no more an expression of righteousness than grace is permission to continue in sin.
The world's definitions of 'equality', 'tolerance' and 'love' are not written in heaven's dictionary.
For those who would stop in the secret place, remove the clamor of the world - God whispers truths and delights. He yells at none and stands on not one of His rights. There they learn righteousness.
Yet, when God is unheard and His Book continues unread (as if it is a divinely appointed dust receptacle) by the Christian and pagan alike, we can but end up only in our wicked conclusions, penned from the dark.
I now want to chorus the writer of Hebrews. I do not wish to be numbered amongst those who plunge witlessly into the cesspit of acquiescence and are destroyed, but are of those who keep the faith and are saved.
But my righteous one will live by faith... we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved. (Hebrews 10:38-39)
