Soul Snack 193/11 ... A song in ordinary time

The worthless is valuable to God.

The valuable is worthless to God.

Sinners He holds and saints He releases.

Pots of gold pave the roads of heaven and a thief who now lives in paradise.

There is no now mystery in antiquity and the future holds no fear.

Only the living Lamb is worshipped and the dead are forgotten.

The humble are elevated, the meek invited and those rejected are approved.

The timid win, weakness has become strength and the pure see God.

The song for this perpetually ordinary time of life will always remain the same -

It is heaven that this world is reversed and

it is in this world that we should only reason as heaven.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
   neither are your ways my ways,”
            declares the LORD.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth,
   so are my ways higher than your ways
   and my thoughts than your thoughts." (Isaiah 5:8-9)
