Soul Snack 57/11 ... Blood's Bellow

Have you ever heard the bellow of blood?

Blood screams for satisfaction and cries for justice. Yet the bellow of Christ's blood is love NOT vengeance.

Calvary bleeds that no-one is exempt, no discrimination delivered or even considered, as His open and tortured palms extend gently downwards towards each life, each person. His pure love knows no boundaries. His Cross is no fence.

My past indiscretions, my present spiritual fickleness, coupled with my fears for the future, are all observed and attended to by His love. In fact, these items of life can become the very receptors, the landing places to feel grace without criticism and affection without conditions.

Through my sinfulness, I have risked His call on my life, yet the love never diminishes or retreats. His wounded heart of grace may have been injured by my avarice, but never diluted. His loving eyes of devotion may have become reddened by my wilfulness, but He has never closed them to me.

At Calvary the world closed its eyes to Jesus, but He did not repay the favor.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. (Jn 3:16-17)

Today's Soul Snippet:

Jesus' absence from heaven was to gain my presence in heaven.
