SOUL SNACK 58/11 ... The Dawn of Heaven

The day had dawned, yet there was to be a second dawn that day.

‘Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were looking for Jesus, for he had been crucified.'

Lost loved ones cannot pass unnoticed. The searing pain of separation sings out for satisfaction.

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘he has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you." (Mt 28:5-7)

In their search for Jesus the two Marys were led to a supernatural appointment. An angel brought needed encouragement.

The search for Jesus will always be ‘littered' with his previous accomplishments. He lays a trail. This Jesus wants to be found.

There is to be no fear in the search for Jesus. When Jesus is sincerely sought there will always be heavenly help to find Him. Mary and Mary were invited to see where He had been and guided with clear instruction. They would find Jesus.

It is a search not to be delayed. It is treasure trail to invite others on as well. Even the angel wanted Jesus found!

Jesus is never hiding.

Shortly before his death and looking for dawn, ex Beatle George Harrison observed (knowing he was facing death) ... “Everything in life can wait, but the search for God can not."

In finding Jesus both Mary's enjoyed a second dawn that day ... for Easter is the new dawn of heaven upon earth.
