Soul Snack 72/11 ... Astronomical Theology

It has long been known to modern man that the planets circle the sun. They wax and wane in light and warmth accordingly. The planets are restrained and contained by the sun's gravitational pull. Some are hot, others cold and all experience a seasons or two. Only one is habitable. Regardless of their path, immune to their climate and even ignorant to their very existence they solely continue to orbit the sun.

In a man's human existence, his sojourn on earth, there are too his summers seasons of heat and his winter seasons of cold. In a man's waxing and waning, in his too compulsory seasons, unlike the planets he can choose to circle the Son. This Son too has gravity; it is the draw of light and the invitation to righteousness. Unlike the planets who must maintain orbit, the beckoning of this Son is to an ever decreasing orbit not ending in burning but only in blessing.

The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. (Hebs 1:3a)
