Soul Snack 99 ... Pilgrimage to Paradise

'Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who set their hearts on pilgrimage ...' Ps 84:5

A crisp mist lightly descends over gnarly mountain trails. Forward progress impeded but not impossible. An uncomfortably twisted ankle, the frequent stumble accompanied by increasingly difficult visibility; this is the path to paradise.

Wild animals bring fear. Unrecognised noises enervate. Cold shadows cast spells. Still, progress remains forward. This is the path to paradise.

Past errors can be repaired and false steps are not fatal. Unhelpful detours are correctable. The map is clear, the pathway plain. Life's contours either enhance or exaggerate this path. The scenery not always pleasing to the eye. This path already straining painful oxygen starved muscles. This is the path to paradise.

The enticement of distant bright lights and a wider level path allure, many traverse this trail. They walk in great ease and comfort. Stress free they naively approach hell. The loneliness, narrowness and ruggedness of the correct trail distinctly uninviting.

A pilgrimage of perseverance ALWAYS receives supernatural strength and divine favour.
