SOUL SNACK 76 ... Release or Race on?

'Then Paul answered '... I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of Jesus.' Acts 20:23

Travelling with Paul was a guarantee to life assessment.

How can life be well determined?

The aspirations, activities and ambitions that consume - do they help?

When do my life's strivings cease? When does God finally gain full entry to me? The Apostle Peter would reply '... he who has suffered in his body is done with sin.' (1 Peter 4:1b)

Paul has so clearly established, he is simply disinterested in his own well being. It was Paul's sufferings that had equipped him to die for Jesus.

His goal is not 'release', but to 'race on'. He would entertain no impediment to God's will prospering at his hands.

God's destination for me is as far above my difficulties as heaven is above the earth. His destination will devour all my distresses. His destination is worth the difficulty of the journey.
