SOUL SNACK 79 ... God's unfathomable safety

'My father who has given them to me is greater than all, no one can snatch them out of the Father's hand.' Jn 10:29

This day would smile for many decades. Sparrows now chirped with great energy. Fanning out from the horizon were the sun's resplendent rays, warmly dispersing the dawn's chill. The birth of this day heralded far more.

Picture a golden haired newborn cradled in her father's arms. The joy of this infant strikes to the very depth of his heart. Her tiny pink fingers dance around his index finger. Surprisingly she neither cries nor stares. Already she knows strong secure and loving arms. Nestled in a well used blanket and secure in his firm strength, instinctively she lies in peace. No one could ever wrest her from this father's arms. No one would overpower him. He had the might to guarantee her well being.

The security God's child receives is as superior as our Father in heaven is stronger. Christ's followers are enveloped by an un-penetrable safety. The arms that constrain the evil one, the hands that created leviathan and the heart that is pure love are my permanent protection. Peace becomes my unassailable position, His power my security.

Losing a loved one to my heavenly Father is as foreign as losing His love.
