Stillness
If I am willing to be still before God, He will be willing to be still for me.
God conducts soul surgery in stillness.
Jesus desires my time, my thoughts, my tiredness, my talents, my terrors, my trust and my TOMORROWS.
It is healthy to pursue stillness with God.
It is a privilege most large to be invited into the eternal presence before I meet Him.
Stillness before Him is exalting God's interest in me above my own interest in me.
Busy-ness takes me past God. Stillness takes me into his presence.
God does not want to be my hotel, but my home.
Stillness teaches me about God. Ps 46:10.
Endless invention, endless experiment, brings knowledge of motion but not stillness....where is the life we have lost in living?.... T.S.Eliot
- God wants my attention before my activity.
- God wants my mind before He wants my muscles.
- God wants my burdens before I give them to the bottle.
