4 Promises to Outcasts
To those who have fallen in cisterns of pain or staggered through cycles of rejection...
To those who have crawled in fear or collapsed in weakness...
To those who are self-shielded or have fled to empty pastures that they no longer will be bumped aside...
To those who need a nearby and mighty counsellor to dam their tears...
To those who cry out for sustaining arms to just stop it all - the good God of Calvary has this to say:
I took you from the ends of the earth,
from its farthest corners I called you.
I said, ‘You are my servant’;
I have chosen you and have not rejected you.
So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:9-10)
God calls, gathers, comforts and strengthens the outcasts; those for whom nobody cares.
You may never have been seen by man but you always have been seen by God.
But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord, ‘because you are called an outcast, Zion for whom no one cares.’ (Jeremiah 30:17)
It is a Heavenly sent love, not time that heals all wounds.
