The Point of Human Fear & Rest

My dear old dad would oft repeat to his 'listening impaired' son - don't bite off more than you can chew.

Ambition gets the better of ability. And, energy can prove no match for enthusiasm.

These lapses of good judgement simply authenticate that there is nothing new under the sun.

In faithfulness He will bring forth justice; He will not falter or be discouraged till He establishes justice on earth. (Isaiah 42:3b-4a)

God promises the IMPOSSIBLE things, even justice upon earth.

It looks as if God has lost control of the world - especially the need for justice. But in faithfulness God is reliable, and turns no blind eyes to His cause for justice.

God is not subject to poor self-assessment, busyness, weariness or discouragement. He neither stumbles nor fails in His intentions.

God's plans neither wax nor wane, He is neither hesitant nor His arm short.

God seeks no counsel and needs no boss. God's bank balance is always sufficient for His projects.

The Last Word:

Unlike men, God's abilities are always equal to His ambitions. This should be the point of human fear, and the home of human rest.
