O Lord let me live please in the beams of your Word and the promise of your return. Extinguish please the lights of pleasure or pain that guide my footsteps for the world and its desires are passing away. AMEN
O Lord teach me to thirst for you even when I don't suffer, hunger for you when life is well and seek you without fail, for this is to the benefit of us both. AMEN
O Lord please guard my heart, wash me in your comfort and open the healing paths of peace I pray. AMEN
Who have I but you O Lord? Where else can I go for the words of eternal life? What else is there in this world that would now lure? Forgive my heart for it is slow to learn. You alone are now my heart's desire. Draw me nearer your courts, plant me in your sanctuary and multiply the times of solitude until I can dwell in your house forever. AMEN
