To the hollow, the hapless and the hurting ...
No-one is exempt, no discrimination delivered or even considered, as His ungloved, outstretched and bloodied hand extends gently downwards towards each life, each person. His pure love knows no boundaries.
Your past indiscretions, your present spiritual fickleness, coupled with your fears for the future are all observed and attended to by His love. In fact, these items of life can become the very receptors, the landing places to feel grace without criticism and affection without conditions.
Through your sinfulness, you have risked His call on your life, yet the call hasn't waned any more than His love has leaked. This outstretched Hand of Grace may have been blocked by your avarice, but never diluted. His loving eyes of devotion may have become reddened by your wilfulness but have never been closed to you.
The consciousness of your own impurity may obscure Jesus' pure love to you, but it never removes His pure love from you. There is no solvent required to cleanse you for pure love.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. (Jn 3:16-17)
