A Force Bigger Than Us All

Has some SCI-FI author of Orwellian proportions resurrected and turned the globe into the biggest movie set of all time?

Maybe H.G. Wells has one last script to pen? And, Chapter 1 begins with the closure of the world? What will Chapter 2 contain? How long will his novel drama be? How does it end?

The world, as it stands, is at apocalyptic odds with the fearful and loving God of the Cross.

From earth's wicked laws to its barren lands - it is shaking and shuddering in increasing groans of pain, aching for a release.

The unnatural is regarded as natural while earth's economies and minds are impotent to defeat disease.

Human pride and will can never out-gun Heaven's know-how.

It is only the proud and the naive who do not seek the spiritual antecedents of earthquakes, tsunamis and all natural disasters.

Our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers, against the spiritual powers in this dark world, and the forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 6:12)

As with the Tower of Babel, even a united human response fails to control the results; no human plans or ingenuity can ever prevent such events.

There is an uncomfortable, undesirable but liberating message in all disasters - look to the Lord ... it is in Him alone rescue is found.

I would appeal that the good-will which so appropriately draws mankind together at hard times such as these be seen for the reflection of God's caring image it is. The milk of human kindness is finely crafted into each individual at conception.

The time is present that mankind must learn to bend his knees to the one and only God, and not clench his fists to Him.

From Revelation 8:6 through to Revelation 9:21 the apostle John sees and explains the spiritual forces of seven angels releasing physical calamity upon this earth through seven trumpet blasts. The purpose of these calamities is to bring the nations to their knees in repentance. Yet none repented. Fires, bitter water, loss of light, locust plagues, death and injury all spread across the nations. These events seem so unpalatable to the western mind yet occur in the flesh from spiritual causes.

He was, is, and always will be the same God whose fabric is love, with His foundation as righteousness. He can change no more than He can lie.

Yet - He who always holds the power of the second death is first to be feared.

And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28)

The wise are humble and read the times well, they number their days aright.
