Are You Trusted with Kingdom Keys?
Empires crumble, kingdoms rattle and men collapse as God turns upside down His creatures of ambition and comfort.
Mankind is over-skilled in reversing his back to God, for the:
- mind of the Lord is not the mind of man,
- habits of the Lord are not the habits of man,
- values of the Lord are not the values of man.
The Lord (not long before His death) trusted an impulsive, immature, uneducated fisherman with the Keys to His Kingdom. Jesus dropped them in this reject's pocket.
And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. (Matthew 16:18)
Rejoice in the world's disapproval when they think strange of you.
Celebrate when you learn you don't think, act or value what is common to men for you are holy - separate to this world.
Is it not the rascal, the ragamuffin and those refused by men that God trusts with His Kingdom Keys? He knows this troupe to be trustworthy for they are not the glory seekers.
Maybe slide your hands into your side trouser pocket or gaze into your handbag, could the Lord too have slipped His keys to you?
