2 Bombs - 1 Blame

Soul Snack 71/13 ... 2 Bombs - 1 Blame

The aftermath of the Boston bombing is still dawning as the terrifying halt to The Boston Marathon captures the world attention. This is no patriotism for Patriots Day. Tapping away on the keyboard just eleven hours after the event cannot begin to review all that is yet to unfold.

The blame game has arisen and accusations will fly. We all have suspects as we wait for confirmation. At this stage three deaths and 144 injuries must be explained.

Boston Police Commissioner Edward F. Davis - we will turn every rock over to find the people who did this'.

President Obama - we'll find out who did this.

These two men are powerful, resolute and truthful - there is no doubt that those responsible will be found.

In a wicked act of heartless hostility the Jordanian Muslim Salafi group have already praised the Boston bombing BUT there is a far healthier life-paradigm that assists me now to -

  • not hate those who hurt others
  • not retaliate to those who assault
  • not pursue vengeance and to
  • not bank bitterness in the soul - it is:

Behind every physical evil there is an even greater spiritual evil driving it. People are the conduits of evil (often very willing) but not its source.

Unlike the animosity-bound Jordanian extremists, imagine the freedom this paradigm can soak the soul in!

When I am hurt by another this paradigm assists me to not burn within, as I know they are under the influence of evil. Satan is attempting to hurt me through them. I can then see past them and their wicked behaviour.

Anywhere there is death satan is behind it. Those who planned, built and planted the bombs are a tool of satan as much as those who are injured are his innocent victims.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Eph 6:12)

Refuse to permit your soul to be bound by the malicious invitations that this evil act presents.

Death is a physical indicator of evil spiritual activity. Blame satan first.
