Chasing Life's 3 Most Expensive Items
Don't read down, well - not yet.
Grab a pencil and without too much thought write down the three most expensive items on your heart?
.........? ..........? ..........?
How'd you go? Would you pay their price?
My heart and soul have lived for ME too long. Far too slowly I have learned my life doesn't work so well this way.
So now there are great costs I carefully consider, I no longer dismiss.
The three things weighing most on this advancing heart:
- to hear from Jesus well done good and faithful servant, for this assures I ceased to be a servant of ME on earth
- to be steadfast to Jesus in a rapidly increasing world that is hostile to Christ's followers. To receive this strength I must remain in His presence. This is to not shrink back in faith and fade to a lukewarm ease. It is simply remaining true to the Lord with all my heart.
- to leave an unrecognised eternal legacy. The first step is prayer, the second humility (the catalyst of dying to self), and the third is sowing to a generational impact, not simply aiming for my well-being.
These items surely are all worthless in Babylon, but truly time-honored treasures in heaven.
Each item dilutes the daily claims my desires pour over me, so then I may choose each morning to sow for Heaven alone.
I (Jesus) tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. (John 12:24)
These three items must own my time, for my time no more belongs to me than my breath.

Choosing well is continuing in the grace of God.
