Coals Upon the Soul ~ B

It is the inner life of a man that God searches out, gazes upon and then scrutinizes.

He watches for me to forgive others as much as He loves to forgive me.

Human eyes set upon the Crown of Life will not be staring at vengeance. The two are mutually exclusive.

Forgiveness invites the flood of peace to the heart. Bitterness, resentment and vendettas only heap further burning coals upon the soul's lap.

Forgiveness is running to Jesus and not justice-seeking for self.

It is not yours to defend or vindicate yourself. It is not yours to react and protect yourself. ~ Jesus

Forgiveness is turning on the cooling Holy Spirit tap of living water; it is bathing in His river of life and soaking in Himself.

Starve the coals from the heated air blasts of unforgiveness, instead feast your soul upon the pardon our Lord offered you by passing it on.

Refuse to bless evil by multiplying it.

One cannot fight sin with sin. ~ A.W.Tozer

As the grave is never satisfied so too the spirit of unforgiveness.

And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. (Matthew 6:2)
