Death Died When Christ Rose

"The empty tomb of Christ is the cradle of the Christian church." ~ W.R. Nicoll

The resurrection is Christianity's make or break day.

if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain ...  And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins ...  If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied. (1 Corinthians 15:12, 17 & 19)

The resurrection of Christ is the hinge of all Christianity. All its doctrine, all its truth, all its wisdom, all its hope and all its promises swing upon this truth alone.

Christians literally will rise or fall upon the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

These three brief Easter reflections express the power and purpose of Jesus' resurrection:

It is only because Jesus died once that man can live twice. Jesus' resurrection is proof positive that I can have one too, because my Father in heaven steadfastly refuses to hold my sins against me.

The account of Jesus is the only biography of man that does not end in death or burial... it is the only biography that has a living sequel. ~ A. W. Tozer
