Journey of the heart

God has set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

God has set man to seek Him. Thus, His handiwork is plain to see.

In this hunger for understanding he turns over many stones.

The souls of all men shelter that triple hunger for truth, certainty and eternity.

Not a man is satisfied by dwelling in many libraries, engaging in endless debate, or examining infinite collective opinions. Such activity pretends to coach life's answers. From time immemorial men continue to wander this earth's face hunting for wisdom. It is in such wandering that the curse of Cain lives on, they cannot know peace. When fatigue and frustration results men shall call out to Heaven.

There is however a resting satisfaction upon the man who falls safe at the foot of the Cross. He will be out of sight to many others. He becomes sprinkled in the restful, healing, humbling, revealing, energizing, forgiving and redeeming blood of Jesus, ...

his life becomes a state of holy desire. ~ Saint Jerome

The Last Word:

God too is always seeking you. Every sunset. Every clear blue sky. Each ocean wave. The starry hosts of night. He blankets each new day with the invitation, ‘I am here’. ~ Louie Giglio
