Hijacking Harmony

Division isn't just a maths problem. It's also humanities! ~ Anthony T. Hincks

Consider God's intervention at the Tower of Babel. (See Genesis 11:1-9) He divided mankind with different tongues, such that they could not agree, or understand each other. Where there is division a work will collapse.

As with Babel, the presence of misunderstanding causes splits, and so the workers scatter.

Divisiveness is the scaffold of destruction. The work fails and must be barren of fruit.

Where there is division there cannot be construction, only destruction.

Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know the Lord's servant must not quarrel. (2 Timothy 2:13)

Pride raises disunity and the reason to take offence. And so, harmony is hijacked.

It is little wonder that God is only attracted to unity, for He is a builder and not a destroyer.

Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity! (Psalm 133:1)
