Isaiah Eases the Mind

Around 742BC the Lord commissioned Isaiah (the son of Amoz) to prophesy to His people in ancient Judah.

God's words are always alive, they speak as loudly to us today as they echoed in Judah almost three millennia ago.

As faith and energies wax or wane may these verses be printed upon your soul until you meet Him.

The Lord will not allow His flame in you to be extinguished.

He gives strength to the weary;

and increases the power of the week...

those who hope in the Lord

will renew their strength. (40:29 & 31a)

A bruised reed He will not break,

and a smoldering wick He will not snuff out. (42:3)

I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness;

I will take hold of your hand. (42:6a)

Fear not for I am with you,

be not dismayed, for I am your God:

I will strengthen you, I will help you,

I will uphold you by my righteous right hand. (41:10)

Invite the Lord to share in your struggles. His promises are as firm as light each dawn and His grip on your right hand.
