Soul Snack 87/12 ... Easy on God
God has focused, indeed summoned all necessary strength, and even stretched out His mighty arm to redeem me.
He has expended His only Son for me.
He has rent heaven in two with His bare hands when Jesus died for me.
He has commissioned His angels daily for me.
He has stretched out His canopy and glory for me and over me.
He is my vanguard and my rearguard.
The more I have sinned the more grace and effort He has exerted without restraint.
But in all this, I can also do something for God ...
The less my sin the less effort and grace He needs to exert for me.
My eyes will be on the faithful in the land,
that they may dwell with me;
he whose walk is blameless
will minister to me. (Ps 101:6)
Father I do want to make life so much easier for you today. AMEN
