Soul Snack S14/12 ... The murder of God
The God of the Cross carries too much blame these days.
The God of the Cross has made a perfect world that was not polluted by Him.
The God of the Cross created a perfect man who chose for disobedience.
The God of the Cross is love. He has created out of love, still creates out of love and always saves by love. Yet He remains maligned and murdered in unnumbered hearts and upon countless lips across His now perforated planet.
How painful must this be to Him?
Every new day God still lives and God still loves.
Every new day He awakens the sun and breathes new life.
Every new day He does not fail, has not failed and will not fail.
What transpires throughout this world or throughout your life is never because God has failed, stopped loving you or chosen disinterest. He doesn't want you sick, poor or burdened. Yet so many people who claim Christ also claim He wants then to have a difficult arduous life - NO - He doesn't!
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (Jn 10:10)
There are two things you can do for the God of the Cross today:
- regardless of your circumstances refuse to believe ill of Him and
- speak up for His defence.
