Permissiveness & Control

'Permissiveness is moral mutiny.' ~ anon

At the Sermon on the Mount Jesus first taught virtue to the masses. This was His priority to a world sunk into moral dungeons.

Jesus is still far more interested in man's behavior than extending a man's knowledge.

Virtue is a divine seed within a man. Does he even realise this?

BUT:

  1. God has not called us for impurity but holiness. ~ 1 Thessalonians 4:7
  2. Abstain from every form of evil. ~ 1 Thessalonians 5:22
  3. Let every one who names the name of the Lord depart from wickedness. ~ 2 Timothy 2:19b

Why would anyone bother with purity, pagan or Christian alike when impurity melts resolve and delights eyes?

Because:

There is laid up for each of us who believe, who stands strong to the end - the Crown of Righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge will award to His faithful servants who have longed for His return. ~ 2 Timothy 4:8
