SKIMMING GRACE ~ E ... 'The Returned Blessing'
Soul Snack 100/14 ... Grace is never a license to sin. It is no mere permission or validation for further offense to God.
God has focussed and summoned all necessary strength to stretch out His mighty arm, to redeem me from sin.
He has soaked Calvary in His tears for me.
He has rent heaven in two with His bare hands when Jesus died for me.
He has commissioned His angels daily for me.
He has stretched out His canopy and glory for me and over me.
He has carried me on eagle's wings.
Daily He feeds me from springs of living water.
He is my vanguard and my rearguard.
The more I have sinned the more grace and effort He has exerted without restraint.
His daily gift is grace upon grace.
But in all this, I can also return to sender;
The less I choose to sin - the less pain, effort and grace He needs to exert for me.
My eyes will be on the faithful in the land that they may dwell with me; he whose walk is blameless; will minister to me. (Psalm 101:6)
Father, from a faithful thankfulness I do want to make life so much easier for you today and forever. AMEN
