Does the spirit moan and the soul sigh in emotion to deep for words, too painful for envy and too strong to deny?
Will your spirit no longer rise and joy fails to fill the heart?
Are you waiting for your desert to turn into pools of water and your parched ground into springs?
Is there an insistent and silent sadness to your soul that may guide you to escape in sin?
Upon your knees and tattooed upon your desires is there an unchanging but unanswered plea for relief?
Is your soul bound in chains without release? Is the padlock to the chain frozen and without keys? Is there no locksmith capable of picking this lock?
Is the despair as persistent as night follows day or dark follows light?
When the prayer for relief falls upon deaf ears, change the prayer. Pray for mercy for when relief does not arrive Divine strength must.
There is naught else to do but wait in an impotent humility upon Heaven and seek His strength, for by now you know relief is absent and the soul is too slow to heal.
...but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. (Is 40:31)
When life constantly refuses to be fair and healing evades, hang your hat of hope upon the peg marked Divine Strength Alone.
