Hannah had a problem! As a male, this is a difficult one for me to appreciate! Nevertheless, barrenness has brought great sadness and distress to literally, countless women for eons.
Hannah had lived constantly with all these emotions (and more). The impossibility of her situation simply escalated as the human years wore on.
Human failure is a wonderful catalyst for God dependence. “In bitterness of soul Hannah wept much and prayed to the Lord". (1 Sam 1:10)
This holds true across both sexes. Failure in the natural events oflife leads many to the supernatural God, seeking what the natural man is unable to deliver.
Hannah gives birth to Samuel (and later 5 more children). The God who wants to bring good is permitted to work when I understand my impotence and His potence.
Victory arrives through my submission, not my endeavour. This is truly winning with God.
