Boundary Rider

Soul Snack 179/10 ... Boundary Rider

Kicking up a relentless trail of red dust, the boundary-rider circumnavigates the outback Oz cattle and sheep station, checking for fence holes. This task he usually completes on horseback, and can be away from the homestead for days.

Tackling the boundaries of life can be difficult and tiresome and for the brave, life-changing.

Boundary moments arrive in all our lives. These, we all reach, yet rarely transgress..

In a bold move of the human spirit these fence lines to our humanity can be breached, and at other times should never be breached.

There are boundaries to our exertion.

There are boundaries to our thinking.

There are boundaries to our actions.

There are boundaries to our repentance.

There are boundaries to our forgiving.

There is good cause to fence the first three, but when can we correctly place a boundary on forgiveness and repentance?

Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?" Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times." (Mt 18:21-22)
