For those who are fallen to the floor face down,
For those who are drained of all carnal strength,
For those who walk in emptiness of soul,
For those who sympathise with Jeremiah in cursing the day of their birth,
For those who have no comforting arm near to restore their spirit,
For those who resonate with the Psalmist that tears are the closest of friends,
For those who echo Isaiah knowing the help of man is worthless and
For those who have cried to heaven - how long?... the Lord our Father caresses these liniments into His children's soul, YOUR soul:
He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure. (Is 33:6)
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak... but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. (Is 40:29-31)
You are my servant; I have chosen you and have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Is 41:9-10)
Please read these verses slowly, even meditate in your mind and chew on them in your spirit that His comfort becomes yours too.
